The National Day of Prayer In Solidarity with Indigenous Peoples which coincides with the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe (December 12) and the concerns around Indigenous statues at the Vatican is a perfect time to revisit a past show topic. In this part one of two, we'll discuss Our Lady's role in enculturating the Gospel through dress, language, and symbol and try to put to rest the concerns about wooden statues once and for all.
