This is a podcast brought to you by the Archdiocese of Regina where we attempt to navigate this winding road of faith in Jesus Christ so that we might know him more intimately, love him more profoundly and together serve him more deeply in our daily lives.

The movie the Shack hit theaters mid-Lent and with it arose much discussion surrounding some of the feminine imagery - for God and the Holy Spirit - used in both the film and the book. Following on the tails of last week's 'Heresy' episode, this week Eric and Brett take a look at the kinds of language and images that can be used in reference to God. We regularly call God 'Father', can God be 'Mother' too? And what can we say about the Holy Spirit? We're playing the "Is it heresy?" game once again on Thinking Faith!
And don't forget to like, share and comment on our podcast Facebook post over at for a chance to win copies of Brett's books "How Far Can We Go: A Catholic Guide to Dating" (written with our friend Leah Perrault!) and "Can Catholics and Evangelicals Agree about Purgatory and the Last Judgment?". Contest ends June 30th!

Hi, Beckey! I'm glad you enjoyed the episode. I may be just a little biased, but I think you should definitely listen to ALL our episodes! ;)

This is the first one I've listened to. You two are so relaxed and informative. I am so glad this is the one I heard first. I thank you! Now I may have to listen to more of them. Ps. It's not because of the contest that I chose to listen, it was because of the topic. Randy and I have read the book and watched The Shack. We enjoyed both.
